Our eighth graders have been exploring a unit about space and rockets, which included a visit to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida as part of their class trip last month.

Congratulations to our students who were inducted into the National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society. Students were selected for membership based on the characteristics of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character.

On Tuesday, May 14, the track and field program celebrated its 2019 season with an awards night to honor the effort of its middle and high school students.

Thanks to a grant from Terracon, and a matching grant from Digital Engineering (Kurt Evans ’74), a group of middle school students got to participate in a “Full STEM Ahead” Club this year.

Our seventh graders, as the final part of their “Continuing the Journey” series, took a year-end trip to Baton Rouge last week, where they visited the Old State Capitol, met with Holy Cross alumni in the Louisiana Legislature, and experienced a behind-the-scenes tour of the facilities at LSU’s Tiger Stadium.

Congratulations to our middle and high school Latin students for their outstanding performance on the National Latin Exam.

Last week, our kindergarten class officially became published authors and illustrators as they launched their own book called “Our New Orleans Alphabet.”

Seven Holy Cross seniors signed with college athletic teams during a ceremony held May 8 in the student center. Family and friends joined them as they committed to continuing their athletic careers at the college level.

Congratulations to Holy Cross senior Blake Ziegler, who has been selected as a winner of a National Merit $2,500 Scholarship.

Holy Cross students celebrated the crowning of our Blessed Mother Mary this week with ceremonies at our Elysian Fields and Paris Avenue campuses. The students celebrated Mary by singing songs of praise, praying and laying flowers.
