Many games have come out over the years for PlayStation, but none of them have gotten as much excitement and attention as Spiderman. This game was announced at E3 2017 and has been advertised globally and is a contender for game of the year for its flawless smooth content. The Environment in the game lets you know that the directors care about the ambiance and feel of the atmosphere. The immersion effect has really contributed to the games success amongst people. Every web you swing from and every criminal you stop you puts you deeper into the game.
Compared to previous Spiderman titles, you get to choose how you want the story to play out with better game mechanics. The other games were great, but never captivated the video game community like the newest Spiderman game. The atmosphere around the game itself is known amongst the gaming community for its strengths and its weaknesses.
One of the biggest weaknesses of the game is the repetition of boss fights, so some gameplay repeats in places, but it doesn’t take away from the fact of its amazing gameplay. Its strengths are its uniqueness and is outlandish gameplay from any other title that is out there now. This game is well known to most gamers because of its childish dialogue yet serious gameplay and it makes you feel in touch with your inner kid.
One of many great features in this game is its photo mode. You can take photos at any moment in time during the game and make it cinematic. It adds a layer of authenticity to the character of Spiderman because Spiderman himself is a photographer. This mode helps you get closer to the character and feel one with the game. Given that this mechanic is new for video games, it has evolved greatly from other games and is utilized fantastically in Spiderman.
This game, overall, is a captivating and fun game. The story that you experience when you play is an emotional joy ride. Once you finish the game, you will want to play it again because you grow attached to the characters and the game itself. The final verdict for Spiderman (2018) for the PS4 is a 9 out of 10 – a definite win!
