Our first graders have been learning about service animals and how they help people in need. In their language class, they have been reading books and researching different animals that can assist those with disabilities.
To help the students better understand, Bryce Montalbano, a Holy Cross alum, and his friend brought two guide dogs, Woodstock and Rey, to visit their class. They are a part of a program at Tulane University that trains dogs to become service animals. Bryce gave a very informative presentation to the boys, answered their many questions, and even had Woodstock and Rey show off their many tricks.
Our students had a wonderful time and learned so much!
