Students in Mr. Dale Turner’s honors physics class hosted the Holy Cross Regatta at the UNO aquatics facility. Teams constructed boats out of cardboard and clear packaging tape and were tasked with designing a boat and calculating the dimensions needed to support at least one of their teammates. Then they took their creations to the water to sail their boats and try to stay afloat. It was a great chance for them to apply physics concepts learned throughout the year.
