Archbishop Gregory Aymond was our special guest today, celebrating Mass for the Solemnity of St. Joseph and also blessing our St. Joseph's Altar that was on display in the Holy Cross library. He shared with Holy Cross students about the history of St. Joseph's Altars and why they are particularly special to the New Orleans community.
Following Mass, students from each grade level had the opportunity to visit the altar and receive a gift bag containing a blessed bean, prayer card and Italian cookie.
We would like to thank all of our parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, alumni and friends who so generously contributed gifts of homemade cookies, baked goods, fruits, vegetables, flowers, cakes and much more. It was indeed a special tribute to St. Joseph, Patron Saint of Holy Cross School.
