Holy Cross School is pleased to announce and to welcome Brad Humphreys as the Principal effective for the 2025-2026 school year.
Mr. Humphreys will join Holy Cross School after serving as the Upper School Principal at Oak Forest Academy in Amite, LA. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Louisiana State University and an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of New Orleans.
When speaking of his career in education, Mr. Humphreys said, “With 27 years in the field of Education, my passion for teaching began in a small parochial school in which most of the students would become the first in their families to attend college. While I pushed my kids hard, it was done within an environment of humor and respect, as I watched them overcome their fears and rise to the challenge. Seeing them develop confidence and self-motivation propelled me to further my own education to advance into administrative roles where I could have a more profound impact on the student body at large.”
His career in education offered him the experience of working in schools at both the elementary and secondary levels, and consisted of a number of roles, including teacher, athletic director, and administrator. Before coming to Holy Cross School, Mr. Humphreys served the students of Archbishop Hannan High School, Pope John Paul II High School, Kehoe-France Northshore, and Oak Forest Academy.
“We are pleased to welcome Brad Humphreys to Holy Cross School, not only for the experience that he brings, but for his dedication and commitment to educating the young people of our community. With him, he brings discipline and a high standard of academic excellence that our students and their families will be well served,” said John Serio, Assistant to the President for School Operations.
The Holy Cross Faith Community enthusiastically welcomes Mr. Brad Humphreys to the Holy Cross family and looks forward to working with him in his service to the students and school.
