Fight 'Till the End

Last night, November 12th, Holy Cross took on John Curtis for the first play off game of the season. There was a great turn out of fans on both sides who were excited to support their teams to go out and fight, win or lose. The game was exciting even though we lost. Senior, Caleb Jeanmarie had this to say about why he went to the game, “I just came to support my brothers out there, especially my boy Kendall.” Many of the fans out there knew the challenge our team was facing, but they wanted to show support for their Tigers because they knew the team would appreciate the love. The game ended with the Tigers loosing 54 to 14. Overall, the Tigers played well, but they were just outdone by John Curtis, but that is not to say the Tigers were out completely. They put up some good plays and there were many of “Oh jeez!” moments. Like when two senior lineman Cole Baiamonte and John Sheridan “pancaked” one of Curtis’ defensive linemen. Here is what Baiamonte had to say about that moment, “That was one of my favorite moments of the game, because even though we lost, that moment showed that we were still in the fight and we were not going to be pushed over so easily.” I think that is one of the greatest attributes of our athletics department. Even when we are down and out, we always fight ‘till the end. Holy Cross doesn’t give up. So even with the end of the season last night, Holy Cross will be back next year, ready to put up the fight again.
