A Shiny New Yearbook!

By: Dylan DiMaggio ‘21

The new yearbook has been out for a short time now and has had time to settle into the social sphere of Holy Cross. Ever since being taken over by Mrs. Signorelli, the yearbook has taken a new form and a new passionate route. Mrs. Sig is making strides to innovate the yearbook as much as possible by bringing it to a new, modern age. This is shown through the new video portions of the yearbook using phone apps and the increase in student interaction within the pages. The day the yearbook was released, there was already a very positive vibe coming from the students walking the halls. One of the most popular sections of the yearbook seemed to be the Who’s Who of HC faculty alumni. Teachers and coaches who attended Holy Cross submitted their senior pictures and let the students try to guess who was whom. All around, the new yearbook seemed to be a hit. To get more specific reactions, I decided to ask some select students the following:

What are your thoughts to this year’s yearbook?

I thought it was pretty great. It had more visual appeal with some of the cool artwork. It also had more sports stuff than I remember and I enjoyed that a lot.

It was really cool. The new AR sections were cool and really added more to the experience of looking through the book and remembering old memories.

I liked it a lot more than some previous years. There isn’t much I would really add to the book, but I think making a digital version would be cool.

It was the best one in the last few years. I would like to see a spot in the yearbook that shows off some teacher profiles like the senior section. This would be awesome because you never know what secrets teachers could possibly be hiding.

I liked the senior section. Some of the quotes that the guys put were actually really funny. I enjoyed the experience of reading through some of the information they gave and thinking about what I will put for mine.
