Holy Cross School Gala Celebrates a “Magical Night on the Bayou”

NEW ORLEANS—Holy Cross School welcomed more than 600 parents, alumni and friends to its annual Gold and Blue Gala presented by b1BANK on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the Holy Cross Student Center.

The event began with a Patron Party in the cafeteria sponsored by The Velvet Cactus (Scott Dickerson ’94). Following the Patron Party, the Holy Cross Jazz Band, Thunder the Tiger, and Headmaster Sean Martin ’92 and his wife Jenna Martin escorted guests to the main event with a Gold and Blue Second Line.

This year’s event was themed “A Magical Night on the Bayou” and featured delicious cuisine from 15 local restaurants and caterers, live music by Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. and the Zydeco Twisters, and a silent, live and online auction. Glamorous bayou-themed decorations were provided by CHL Linens.

More than 100 items were sold in an online silent auction, with an additional 10 sold in a live auction that took place during the evening. We thank all our generous auction donors.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Holy Cross School’s mission of educating young men from grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.
