Holy Cross Cheerleading tryouts will take place in the gym at Holy Rosary High School located at 3368 Esplanade Ave, NOLA 70119.
Friday, March 26th: Clinic from 4-7pm Saturday, March 27th: Clinic from 3-6pm Sunday, March 28th: warm-ups at 11:15 am and tryouts at 12:00pm
Below is the tryout packet. It must be printed and completed prior to the clinic. The forms are due the first day of the clinic.

Athletics: The 2nd Annual Tennis Tournament is being held on March 13 at City Park. If you believe that your parents or family friends may be interested please see Coach Turner for a registration form. Middle School Soccer please bring your uniforms to Coach Irwin’s classroom right after school. That is on the second floor of the Admin building.
The varsity baseball game for today has been rained out, but the varsity team is to report to Mel Ott immediately after school for practice.
Campus Life: Attention Eighth Grade Students: Bring your fully charged Laptop with both Batteries for Pyrate Day on Friday. You will be allowed to wear your Eighth Grade Field Trip T-Shirt. Prizes will be awarded to each student who wears Pyrate Attire over their school uniform. You will report to homeroom for attendance and begin your activities.
Tomorrow is the final day for our Pennies for Patients program. Together we CAN make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer. Ask your parents, friends, and family if they'd like to contribute to your homeroom's collection. Let’s make a final push to get some extra money in for the program. Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day to bring in money into your homeroom.

Holy Cross drama classes will have an opportunity to do a workshop with the award-winning actress Jenn Gotzon this Monday, March 15. Ms. Gotzon has many movies to her credit including her appearance in the Oscar-nominated movie Frost/Nixon. She has appeared on many television shows and received numerous awards for her movie work. The actress is in New Orleans to do a fund raiser for the International Children’s Hospital, and she is very happy to have the opportunity to visit our campus and the new black box theatre to work with our drama students.

Athletics: Today’s 7th grade baseball game has been changed from Digby playground to LaSalle playground in Metairie.
Campus Life: Attention 7th Graders: Your retreat will be this Friday, March 12. You will report to your homeroom first. After homeroom, report to the cafeteria. Dress code is as follows: Holy Cross Shirt, any shorts or jeans are allowed.
There is a laptop bag in the high school lost and found.
Attention Shuttle Bus Riders: The shuttle bus will leave campus from Paris Avenue in front of the fountain. The bus departs at 4:30pm.
Coach Charb’s B Period class - Please report to Room M203 this morning for class.
Library books are due. Bring them in by tomorrow. Starting next week your names will be sent to the office.

Athletics: 9th Grade Baseball Game Changes: The rained-out game @ St. Charles Catholic has been set for Friday, 3/12/10 for 4:00pm. A makeup game is set for Sunday, 3/14/10 @ Shaw for 11:00 am.

Attention High School Students that still need service hours: Here are a few upcoming events that you can volunteer at and earn service hours… Every Friday during lent the Knights of Columbus host a fish fry at St. James Major Church in Gentilly. Teacher Runs for Cancer Research

On February 28th, Miss DiPasquale ran in the Rock n Roll Mardi Gras Marathon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s national fundraising program, Team in Training. This is a program that trains athletes for events in exchange for each participants fundraising efforts. Miss D was able to complete all 26.2 miles of the marathon with a finish time of 5:04:15, and more importantly, raise $1,855 for cancer research through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
