Athletics:
9th Grade Baseball Game Changes:
The rained-out game @ St. Charles Catholic has been set for Friday, 3/12/10 for 4:00pm.
A makeup game is set for Sunday, 3/14/10 @ Shaw for 11:00 am.

The 2nd Annual Tennis Tournament is being held on March 13 at City Park. If you believe that your parents or family friends may be interested please see Coach Turner for a registration form.
All MS Soccer players must return their uniforms to Coach Hernandez after school on Thursday under the oaks.

Campus Life:
Attention Eighth Grade Students: Bring your fully charged Laptop with both Batteries for Pyrate Day on Friday. You will be allowed to wear your Eighth Grade Field Trip T-Shirt. Prizes will be awarded to each student who wears Pyrate Attire over their school uniform. You will report to homeroom for attendance and begin your activities.

This is the final week of our Pennies for Patients program. With $2,323 raised, we still have time to raise even more and surpass our goal of $7,000. We CAN make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer. Don’t forget this Friday, March 12 is the last day to bring in money for the program.

Attention 7th Graders:
Your retreat will be this Friday, March 12. You will report to your homeroom first. After homeroom you will report to the cafeteria. Dress code is as follows: Holy Cross Shirt, any shorts or jeans are allowed.

Attention High School Students that still need service hours:
Here are a few upcoming events that you can volunteer at and earn service hours…
Every Friday during lent the Knights of Columbus host a fish fry at St. James Major Church in Gentilly. They are looking for volunteers to help out. If you are interested please see Coach Jackson for further details.

This Saturday, March 13, Mr. John Starr is looking for volunteers to assist him at the Camp Abbey Youth Festival in Covington. If you are interested please see Coach Jackson or Mr. John Starr for further details.

The rained-out game @ St. Charles Catholic has been set for Friday, 3/12/10 for 4:00pm.

A game has also been set for Sunday, 3/14/10 @ Shaw for 11:00 am to make up for 1 of the other three rain-outs.

Teacher Runs for Cancer Research

On February 28th, Miss DiPasquale ran in the Rock n Roll Mardi Gras Marathon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s national fundraising program, Team in Training. This is a program that trains athletes for events in exchange for each participants fundraising efforts. Miss D was able to complete all 26.2 miles of the marathon with a finish time of 5:04:15, and more importantly, raise $1,855 for cancer research through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Junior High Wrestling Results

The junior high wrestling team did a great job in Sulphur, LA this weekend. 11 out of 15 wrestlers placed in this weekend competition. Results were :

Athletics:
Congratulations to the 8th grade baseball team for their victory over Br. Martin last night in the 8th grade tournament. They played a very competitive game and emerged as the victors. Logan Taravella was a rock on the mound, pitching 5 innings of scoreless baseball. Go, Tigers! Good luck in the rest of the tournament this weekend.

ATTENTION 5TH GRADE BASEBALL PLAYERS:
THERE WILL BE PRACTICE ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AT HOLY CROSS FROM 10-12 AM. PRACTICE WILL BE ON THE FIELD BY CARTIER STREET.

Campus Life:
Starting Monday, all student ID’s will be handed out in the Guidance office. If your card was taken away, you can pick it up in the Guidance office after a payment is made.
